Julie Schwebke

Julie Schwebke joined Counseling Associates in 2020. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and then went on to receive her Master of Social Work from Aurora University with a specialization in clinical and faith-based social work.

Before joining Counseling Associates Julie worked in both private practice and with local non-for-profits. During that time, she provided advocacy, education, crisis intervention and stabilization to individuals, couples and families in the Rockford community.

Julie brings with her clinical experience working with adults, adolescents and children living with anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, women’s issues and trauma. Her philosophy is to provide help and hope to individuals navigating difficult life circumstances through goal setting and self-discovery.

Julie is committed to helping others identify their strengths in order to improve their quality of life. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy and other treatment modalities in her practice, respecting the experiences and beliefs that each person brings to the therapeutic relationship.

Appointments are 45-60 minutes in length and are available Monday-Thursday with both daytime and evening availability.
